David R. Peck, P.A.-C
Orthopedic Physician Assistant
David R. Peck is the newest Physician Assistant to join the Atlanta Orthopedics team. David is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia under the supervision of a physician. Since the completion of training, he has practiced exclusively in the field of orthopedics. David is experienced in conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating orthopedic injuries and illnesses.
David graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2003 from Lipscomb University. While there he logged more than 1000 hours as an athletic trainer to the university and local high school teams.
David then attended Nova Southeastern University’s Physician Assistant program, graduating with a Masters of Medical Science in August of 2008. During his training, David participated in two clinical rotations in orthopedic surgery. He was then board certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.
From September 2008 to June 2009 he was employed at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance in Murfreesboro, TN. David then moved to Covington, GA where he was employed at Newton Medical Center and continued to work in orthopedic surgery in both OR and office settings. David continued there until joining the practice at Atlanta Orthopedics in February 2011.
David is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He is preparing to accept a commission as an officer in the GA National Guard as a PA in the Army Medical Department.
At Atlanta Orthopedics, David is involved in all aspects of orthopedic care. His responsibilities include evaluations and care of patients in the office , emergency room and hospital, as well as providing assistance to our physicians during complex surgical procedures in the OR.
