Brent A. Flickinger, M.D.

Dr. Flickinger grew up in Alpharetta and then attended the University of Georgia, where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in biology.  He received his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia.  He then completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in rheumatology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.  Upon completion of his fellowship in June of 2007, he and his wife and son moved to the Gainesville area to join the Arthritis Center of North Georgia. 

His clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, the spondyloarthropathies, systemic lupus erythematosus, inflammatory myopathy (polymyositis and dermatomyositis), Sjogren’s syndrome, systemic sclerosis (scleroderma), Raynaud’s phenomenon, vasculitis, the antiphospholipid syndrome, the crystalline arthopathies (gout and pseudogout), and osteoporosis.

Dr. Flickinger is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and rheumatology.  He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology.
