Orthopedic Physician Assistant
Nathan Marsh has practiced with Atlanta Orthopedics as a Physician Assistant since 2006. As a Physician Assistant, Nathan is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia under the supervision of a physician. Since the completion of his training, he has practiced exclusively in the field of orthopedics. Nathan is experienced at conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses, and caring for hospitalized patients.
Nathan graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with emphasis in Cardiac Rehabilitation in 1996 from Valdosta State University. He was a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and worked as a physiologist prior to joining the US military. As a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy, Nathan specialized in Emergency and Field Medicine.
Nathan then attended South University’s Physician Assistant program, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and boarding with the NCCPA in March 2005. While in training, Nathan continued to serve as a Navy Reservist and transferred to the Georgia Army National Guard as a Physician Assistant in 2006. He has recently returned from deployment in Afghanistan.
Nathan is member of American Academy of Physician Assistants, Georgia Academy of Physician Assistants and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States.
At Atlanta Orthopedics, Nathan is involved with our patients in all aspects of orthopedic care. His responsibilities include evaluations and care of patients in the office, emergency room and hospital, as well as providing assistance to our physicians during complex surgical procedures in the operating room.
