Melissa Abernathy graduated from the University of Georgia in 2003 with a BS in Family and Consumer Science. She is originally from Louisiana and now lives in Cumming, GA with her husband Andrew. Melissa has been working for Atlanta Orthopedics for several years as the Director of Business Development.

Melissa’s main focus is marketing and development. She helps Atlanta Orthopedics physicians establish relationships with other physicians in the surrounding areas. Melissa facilitates sponsorships, athletic coverage, and other community involvement for the practice. Melissa is also responsible for workers compensation relations.
