Orthopedic Physician Assistant
Michelle Roman practices with Atlanta Orthopedics as a Physician Assistant. As a Physician Assistant, Michelle is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia under the supervision of a physician. Since the completion of her training, she has practiced exclusively in the field of orthopedics. Michelle is experienced at conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses, and caring for hospitalized patients.
Michelle obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in 2003 from the University of Florida. Following the receipt of her undergraduate degree, Michelle worked in the field of inpatient physical therapy before starting Physician Assistant School in 2004.
Michelle attended Nova Southeastern University Physician Assistant program where she obtained her Masters of Medical Science Degree and graduated with High Honors in 2006. Michelle played an active role in PA school by being apart of Student government and holding a leadership role as the chair of Multicultural/Minority Affairs.
After graduation, Michelle became nationally board certified as a Physician Assistant (PA-C). Michelle is a current member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
At Atlanta Orthopedics, Michelle is very involved with our patients in all aspects of orthopedic patient care. Her responsibilities include evaluations of patients in the office and in the emergency room, the care of hospitalized patients, and providing assistance to our physicians during complex surgical procedures in the operating room.
As a Physician Assistant, Michelle strives to compliment the care provided to each patient at Atlanta Orthopedics.
