Hello, my name is Beverly and I am a patient at Atlanta Orthopedics.  Back in May of 2009 I was at the local gym and I had decided that day to do an extra class.  I should have listened to my body but instead I pushed myself to hard and ended up with a torn meniscus.  A friend of mine referred me to Dr. Todd Zeigler at Atlanta Orthopedics.  My friend was a previous patient of Dr. Zeiglers and highly recommended him.  My experience has been wonderful.  From the moment I had my first appointment I was impressed.  The office is convenient, clean, and the staff was very helpful and friendly.  Dr. Zeigler was great about explaining the type of injury I had and gave me options to choose from.  I decided to go ahead and have surgery.  So on August 27th I had surgery at Gwinnett Medical.  After surgery, I returned to Atlanta Orthopedics for my post operative appointment.  At this time I was just starting my physical therapy at Atlanta Rehabilitation.  One of things that I really liked about my experience is that everything was right there in the same building.  My doctor, my physical therapist, and my personal trainer where all there so if I had any questions they were there to help me. Dr. Zeigler encouraged me to continue with physical therapy and to stay active.  He suggested a personal trainer named Christine at Atlanta Wellness which was right next door to Atlanta Orthopedics.  It was very affordable and she showed me exercises that I could do at home or at the gym to help me strengthen my knee.  I have been exercising my whole life and I have learned that if you are injured it can be challenging to stay active.  Thanks to Dr. Zeigler, Sam, and Christine for motivating me.  I now know that I can do anything I put my mind to.
